In-Home Respite
In home respite is offered once a week for up to 4 hours per time. Most times the husband / wife will take advantage of this to leave and have some time out. The Support worker will make the client lunch and attend to his / her needs during this time. This is solely one on one with full responsibility during this time being on the Support worker.
Mobile respite is different in that the Support worker will take the client out of the house, which allows the carer to stay home. Sometimes they may go for a walk in the park, down to the river or just for a drive.
