Opportunities
When speaking about our volunteers to a group,
we are talking about people who are motivated by many factors including a desire to do something worthwhile, giving back to their community, not for monetary reward, but because they believe in what they are doing and they are volunteering in an area that has a personal interest for them.
The viability of “Melville Cares” to exist, or deliver a reasonable level or quality of service, is dependent on our volunteer’s contribution. Our volunteers are not people with too much time on their hands; in fact they are very busy people who when called upon have to consult their diaries, calendars or the boss of the household, before committing to any extra duties. Many of them volunteer in several other organisations.
