Opportunities
Benefits to a volunteer
Are you aware of the benefits you get when you volunteer? Having interviewed many volunteers I would like to sum it up with the following comments, when talking about their experiences.
“It provided an opportunity for me to tap into the energy and time of people who represent all aspects of our diverse culture.”
“Volunteering expands your life experience through the enjoyment of others.”
“Provides social networking by befriending and helping people living in your community.”
“Volunteering increased my knowledge and awareness in areas, which I may not have, previously considered.”
Does this sound appealing to you and are you keen to “Change the World” (VWA motto for 2008) if only in your area?
