Responsibilities
Willingness to be involved as an effective team member
Assist in providing social support by talking to clients and carers and responding to their needs as appropriate.
Participating with other staff in appropriate client activities.
Assist in meal time management for clients as directed.
Familiarise and develop a good knowledge and understanding of client needs and disabilities.
Encourage independence and promote dignity for clients at all times.
Assist in the welfare, comfort and safety of clients whilst under the services care as directed.
Be familiar with emergency procedures in both vehicles and within the centre to ensure client, staff and personal safety.
Assist with the setting up and packing away of equipment for activities such as furniture.
Leave vehicles in a clean condition and report any maintenance issues and problems with vehicles to the supervisor.
Attend training as required.
Comply with EEO and OS&H regulations and standards.
Maintain client and organisational confidentiality.
