Shopping Assistance / Shopping with a list

Both of these services are usually offered on either a weekly or fortnightly basis. During shopping assistance the client will go with the Support worker in her car to the nearest shopping centre, purchase groceries, pay bills and post letters etc. Upon return home the Support worker will assist the client with unpacking the groceries.

Shopping with list is slightly different in that the client does not go with the Support worker either due to ill health, bad weather or physical frailties that prevent them leaving the home. Trust is a large issue with the support worker.
