Veterans' Home Care Services
Melville Cares (Inc.) is a Service Provider for Veterans’ Home Care Services, which was established in 2001.
This is a ‘low level care’ In-Home Support programme, which provides the following quality, support services:
Domestic Assistance (vacuum/mop floors, clean bathroom/toilet)
Respite (staying with ‘cared for’ whilst primary carer is absent)
Personal Care (shower and dressing assistance)
Home & Garden Maintenance which includes gutter and window cleaning, pruning if for ‘client safety’ and some minor home maintenance. (does not include lawn mowing or cosmetic gardening)
VHC clients must ring Veterans’ Home Care, on 1300 550 450 each time they require a H&GM service, and/or to have other DVA services approved or changed.
